The strongest shared label is Oyster Perpetual: it appears on the photographed dial in the Awad listing, and Leland Little and Awad both catalogue their watches that way. Brevet Watches calls its example a Bubbleback. Rolex Passion Report discusses a different watch as a Turn-O-Graph case. Those names belong to the respective sources; they do not establish one agreed factory classification for 6206/84.

Leland Little reports “6206 / 84 / Brevet” between the lugs, while the Awad photograph shows “6206/84” inside the caseback. Rolex Passion Report says a case it examined had 6202 crossed out and 6206/84 added. That account concerns one case; it does not show that other watches reported as 6206 were altered.

The dated examples cluster around 1953. Leland Little dates serial 954261 to circa 1953. Awad's photograph shows IV.53 on the inside caseback; its listing also dates the watch to 1953. Rolex Passion Report dates its pictured case to 1953 but gives conflicting date notations: “last quarter (V) 1953” and “IV.1953.” Brevet Watches lists its watch as a 1953 example. These are catalogue or collector attributions to individual watches, not a production ledger.

The 2021 Rolex Forums sale post describes a 6206/84 with serial 951xxx. It may be the Awad watch, but the available records do not establish that identity. The sources reviewed here do not give a defensible first or last year for the marking or reference.

Awad Watches' open-watch photograph shows “A.260” on the movement beside the inside back marked “6206/84” and “IV.53.” The image links those visible markings in one listed specimen; it does not authenticate the watch or show that every 6206-marked case left Rolex with this movement. The Rolex Forums seller also names A260, but that is a sale-post description, not independent confirmation of the Awad specimen. DTK Watch Repair's compiled chart pairs 6206 with A260 without identifying a watch or showing its basis; it is not used here to establish fitment.

The records show different dial descriptions, with no evidence for a dated factory sequence. Leland Little describes an ivory dial with luminous chevron markers. The Awad listing shows a textured dial with gold-coloured arrowhead markers and says the dial text was restored. Reported diameters range from 33 to 36 mm: Leland Little gives 33 mm, the Rolex Forums seller 34 mm, Brevet Watches gives 35.5 mm in its specification field and 36 mm in its prose, and Awad Watches lists 36 mm. These figures should stay with their listings; the sources do not explain the measuring points or prove that the attributed watches share one case specification.

Brevet Watches describes a flat bezel, and Rolex Passion Report describes a flat bezel and an unusual crown on its photographed case. The available records do not establish a reference-wide bezel, crystal, or crown specification.
