The 126715CHNR is the solid-Everose GMT-Master II introduced at Baselworld 2018 with the Rolesor 126711CHNR and steel Pepsi 126710BLRO. It shares the brown-and-black Cerachrom bezel and caliber 3285 with the Rolesor watch, while its case and bracelet are solid 18k Everose gold.

In 2025, Rolex introduced the 126715CHNR-0002 Tiger Iron, a hardstone dial made from tiger’s eye, red jasper, and black hematite. The black-dial configuration continues as 126715CHNR-0001. The two part numbers are the catalogued branches documented here.

Where it sits in the line

The 126715CHNR is the solid-gold half of the 2018 Rootbeer pair, alongside the Rolesor 126711CHNR. It uses the same bezel and movement, with solid Everose case and bracelet construction.

The solid-gold Rootbeer lineage reaches back to the yellow-gold 1675/8 and 16758, both 1970s solid-gold GMT-Masters with brown-and-gold aluminum Rootbeer inserts. Sotheby’s catalogue entry for the 126715CHNR frames the modern reference as a homage to those watches. The departures mirror the 126711CHNR. Everose replaces yellow gold, two-colour Cerachrom replaces aluminum, and the brown sunburst dial gives way to gloss black or, on the -0002, a hardstone cut.

Alongside it in the current lineup sit the 126711CHNR, the steel 126710BLRO Pepsi, the steel 126710BLNR Batman, the two-tone yellow-gold 126713GRNR from 2023, and the solid yellow-gold 126718GRNR. The 126715CHNR remains the only solid Everose reference in the current line.

Production outline

The reference launched at Baselworld 2018. Sotheby’s catalogued an early-production circa-2018 example in its 2020 watch sale, anchoring the launch year in the auction record. Production has run continuously since.

The 2025 Tiger Iron dial arrived at Watches & Wonders 2025 as part number 126715CHNR-0002. The standard black-dial 126715CHNR-0001 continues in parallel. The sources used here do not establish a separate production total for either branch.

Movement notes

Caliber 3285 powers the reference from launch. The same movement runs in the Rolesor 126711CHNR and across the 2018-onward GMT-Master II generation. Two changes define it against the earlier caliber 3186. The Chronergy escapement replaced the standard Swiss lever layout, and power reserve moved from 50 hours to 70. The Blue Parachrom hairspring carries over, and the 3285 sits inside the Superlative Chronometer specification with rate accuracy to -2/+2 seconds per day. The 2025 Tiger Iron variant carries the same caliber unchanged.

Dial map

Two catalogued dial configurations are documented for this reference.

Standard black dial (-0001)

Gloss black lacquer with Chromalight plots, Everose-coloured surrounds and hands, and Everose-rimmed baton and triangle indexes. This is the configuration released at Baselworld 2018 and catalogued by Sotheby's in 2020.

Tiger Iron (-0002)

The 2025 Watches & Wonders variant uses a dial cut from tiger iron, a natural stone composite of tiger’s eye, red jasper, and black hematite. The stone’s banded structure gives each dial a different pattern. Case, bezel, movement, and bracelet carry over from the -0001 in the documented specification.

Tiger Iron extends Rolex’s use of hardstone dials into the GMT-Master II line. The cited launch coverage describes it as a new dial branch for this reference.

Case, bezel, crystal, and crown notes

The case and bracelet are 40 mm solid 18k Everose gold. The case uses the Oyster architecture, Triplock crown, and 100 m water resistance documented for the ceramic-era GMT-Master II line. Its construction is different from the Rolesor 126711CHNR, which uses Oystersteel and Everose together.

The Cerachrom bezel is shared with the 126711CHNR. The brown-and-black insert is a two-colour ceramic bezel with moulded Everose-coloured numerals and a solid Everose bezel ring. It is unchanged across the -0001 and -0002 variants.

Bracelets, end links, clasps, and packaging notes

The 126715CHNR ships on the solid 18k Everose Oyster bracelet with solid end links and an Oysterlock clasp carrying the Easylink 5 mm comfort extension. Rolex catalogues the same bracelet configuration across the -0001 and -0002 part numbers.

Special branches

The 2025 hardstone dial is the reference’s only production branch. The black-dial -0001 stays in the catalogue alongside it, and no case or movement revision has landed on either part number since 2018.

Auction record

Sotheby’s 2020 watch sale catalogued an early-production circa-2018 Everose 126715 and described its connection to the 1970s Rootbeer GMTs. That lot anchors the launch-year auction record. The 2025 Tiger Iron branch is too new to have an established auction history in the sources used here.
