Rolex Oyster Perpetual 6719
Oyster Perpetual → 6719
Ref. 6719 is a ladies' no-date Oyster Perpetual with central seconds. Auction catalogues identify automatic Cal. 2030 in several examples and date individual watches from around 1972 to 1982. The reference's production endpoints and full factory option list remain undocumented.
Core facts
| Detail | Documented record |
|---|---|
| Model | Ladies' Oyster Perpetual without a date display; central seconds[1][2] |
| Movement | Automatic Cal. 2030; Antiquorum and Hindman list 28 jewels[3][4][5] |
| Case examples | Catalogues describe steel and gold, 14K gold, and 18K gold watches; the full factory metal range remains undocumented.[1][6][3] |
| Case diameter | Auction measurements range from 24 to 26 mm. Catalogue methods are unstated, so each size stays attached to its lot.[1][6][4][3] |
| Catalogue dates | Individual watches are dated circa 1972–1982; production endpoints remain unestablished.[1][4][3][7] |
Where it sits in the line
Christie's, Antiquorum, and Hindman catalogue the 6719 as an Oyster Perpetual; the watches have no date display. A Rolex Forums reference list places it in the Oyster Perpetual Lady group alongside 6718, 6723, and 6724.[1][4][5][8] The references immediately before and after it in the family chronology remain unidentified.
Production outline
The sale records provide several dated examples: Christie's describes a 6719 from circa 1972; Hindman dates a gold example to circa 1973; Antiquorum dates a steel-and-gold watch to circa 1981; and Leland Little describes a 25 mm steel-and-gold watch as circa 1982.[1][5][4][7] Each date belongs to an individual watch. Several dealer pages give 1970–1985 as an estimated run but cite no underlying records; use the span as a lead only.
Movement notes
Christie’s, Antiquorum, and Hindman identify automatic Cal. 2030 in exact-reference 6719 examples.[3][4][5] Antiquorum and Hindman give 28 jewels.[4][5] Rolex's 1978 service manual describes Cal. 2030 as an automatic movement with sweep seconds and a hacking feature. The manual supplies caliber-level specifications; the auction catalogues link that caliber to individual 6719 watches.[4][5][9]
Dial map
Auction catalogues describe several individual dial configurations, without a dated sequence.
| Catalogue description | Documented example |
|---|---|
| Silvered matte with applied batons | Christie's, circa-1972 steel-and-gold example.[1] |
| Silvered with gilt batons | Christie's, 14K-gold example dated to the 1970s.[6] |
| Champagne | Hindman's circa-1973 gold example.[5] |
| Silver dial with baton markers | Leland Little's circa-1982 steel-and-gold example.[7] |
Christie's identifies the gray Arabic dial and hands on its circa-1982 18K example as later replacements. This is a replacement configuration on one watch; the catalogue gives no date for the work.[3]
Case, bezel, crystal, and crown
The catalogues record 24–26 mm cases. They include a stainless-steel case with a gold fluted bezel, full-gold examples with a faceted bezel, and a steel-and-gold watch. Christie's describes a screw-down crown and screw back on its 14K example. One forum seller describes the crystal on a single 6719 as acrylic. The catalogues give no standard specification.[1][6][4][10]
Leland Little's 2025 photographs show 6719 between the lugs and on the accompanying guarantee paper, which repeats serial 7350177. The inside caseback is stamped 6700. The auction leaves that stamp unexplained, so it remains a lot-specific marking here.[7]

Bracelets, clasps, and packaging
Auction records show Oyster bracelets on individual steel-and-gold or gold 6719 watches. Leland Little lists bracelet 78343, J/466 end links, and clasp stamp G/783430 14. The photographs show those markings on this lot; factory-wide fitment remains undocumented.[7][5][4]
One 2019 Rolex Forums owner post says a 6719 bought new in the 1980s had a 14K-marked case and an 18K-marked bracelet. A 2023 forum thread about another 6719 discusses a U.S.-made JB bracelet and flags a possible fit mismatch with Date/Datejust bracelets on the no-date case. Those posts are useful leads; neither is a factory fitment record.[2][11]
Leland Little's lot included Rolex paper bearing the watch's serial and reference. That paperwork belongs to this example; the standard package for the reference remains undocumented.[7]
