The 126610LN replaced the black-bezel 116610LN in 2020. Rolex's launch brochure describes the new generation's redesigned 41mm case and remodelled bracelet.
Movement notes
Rolex fitted the 126610LN with Cal. 3235, a self-winding movement with instantaneous date and rapid setting. Rolex gives an approximate 70-hour power reserve and a -2/+2 seconds-per-day standard after casing. Its launch brochure lists a Chronergy escapement, blue Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers. Fratello identifies Cal. 3135 as the outgoing 116610LN's movement.
Dial map
The dial is black, with round, rectangular and triangular hour markers, broad hands, and Chromalight luminescence. Monochrome's launch review describes the dial as lacquered and the hands and markers as 18ct white gold. The date sits at 3 o'clock under the Cyclops lens. Monochrome also notes that the 2020 model received a longer minute hand and a wider hour hand than the preceding Submariner Date.
Case, bezel, crystal, and crown notes
Rolex lists a 41mm Oystersteel case, a screw-down caseback, and a Triplock crown. The black Cerachrom insert has a 60-minute scale; Rolex says the numerals and graduations are coated in platinum. The sapphire crystal has a Cyclops lens over the date, and the watch is rated to 300m.
Rolex lists the 116610LN at 40mm and the 126610LN at 41mm. Fratello gives their case diameters as 40.2mm and 40.5mm, respectively; its article does not describe a measurement method.
Bracelet and clasp notes
The bracelet is an Oyster with three-piece solid links. Rolex specifies the Oysterlock safety clasp and Glidelock extension. Monochrome's launch review describes slimmer lugs and gives the bracelet a 21mm lug width, up from 20mm on the 116610LN. It lists roughly 20mm of Glidelock adjustment in increments of about 2mm.
