Where it sits in the line
It belongs to the five-digit automatic Day-Date generation and shares Cal. 3055 with the 18038. Later 18238 examples use Cal. 3155. See Cal. 3055 and the Day-Date reference guide.
Production outline
Phillips dates case 9'864'030 to about 1986 and case 9'845'437 to about 1987; Christie’s dates case R594158 to about 1988. The two Phillips estimates do not follow case-number order, so the numbers should not be used as a year guide. These are dates assigned to individual watches; the reference’s production span is unknown.
Movement notes
Phillips lists Cal. 3055 with 27 jewels in both examples. Its crown quicksets the date; the weekday changes when the hands pass midnight. Cal. 3155 adds a separate day quickset.
Dial map
Phillips records a blue-enamel dial with pavé-set diamonds on case 9'864'030, dated about 1986. Its 9'845'437 example, dated about 1987, has a diamond-set pyramid bezel. Christie's describes a ruby-set Pleiades dial on case R594158, dated about 1988. An AGRASC sale record shows an additional example with a gold dial, baton markers, and diamonds on the bezel and lugs.
A 1988 listing describes a blue sunburst dial with diamond markers, baguettes at 6 and 9, diamond-set lugs, and a pyramid bezel. The seller calls the settings original; that claim is not independently documented here.

Case and bezel
Phillips and Christie's describe pyramid bezels; AGRASC records diamonds on the bezel and lugs, plus a screw-down crown and caseback. A 1988 listing specifies a sapphire crystal.

Bracelet and clasp
The Phillips, Christie's, and AGRASC examples are listed with President bracelets. AGRASC gives bracelet 8385 and end-links 55 for case R241418.
