From Rolexopedia

Oyster Perpetual → 15018

18K yellow-gold Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date ref. 15018 with silvered baton dial and gold Oyster bracelet
Case 6714095, catalogued by Artcurial circa 1981.

The 15018 is an 18K yellow-gold Oyster Perpetual Date with a patterned bezel and Cal. 3035. Auction catalogues report 34 mm cases. Artcurial dates one example to circa 1981, Antiquorum records another as sold in 1982, and Monaco Legend dates a third to 1985. Monaco Legend gives 1981–1986 as the production span, without explaining the endpoints.

Artcurial identifies one watch as ref. 15018 and reports an inside caseback stamp of 15000. Its photographs show 15018 on the case side and 15000 inside. Antiquorum uses the combined form 15018/15000. The case-side reference and inside caseback stamp are separate markings on the same catalogued watch.

Where it sits in the line

The 15018 belongs to the five-digit Oyster Perpetual Date group that uses Cal. 3035 and a quick-set date. A 2016 collector guide by u/powerfunk classifies it as the 18K yellow-gold version with an engine-turned bezel. Collector model-number guide; Cal. 3035

Production outline

Artcurial dates case 6714095 to circa 1981. Antiquorum says case 6714010 was sold on 26 November 1982. Monaco Legend dates case 9 109 006 to 1985 and gives 1981–1986 as the reference’s production span, without showing how it arrived at those endpoints. Its 2025 catalogue repeats the 2024 case and movement numbers, so the two listings describe one watch. Artcurial, lot 264; Antiquorum, lot 118; Monaco Legend, 2024 lot 57; Monaco Legend, 2025 lot 55

Movement notes

Artcurial's open-watch photograph shows a movement engraved 3035. Antiquorum and Monaco Legend also identify Cal. 3035, and Antiquorum gives 27 jewels. The caliber brought a quick-set date to this generation; the general movement history and technical details are on the Cal. 3035 page. Grail Watch Reference also lists 15018 among Cal. 3035 fitments.

Dial map

The catalogues describe silvered, champagne and blue dials. Artcurial records applied baton markers and luminous dots on the silvered dial; Antiquorum reports the same details on its champagne dial; Monaco Legend describes gold markers and luminous accents on the blue dial. The 2025 Monaco listing repeats the 2024 case and movement numbers, so the blue dial is documented on one watch.

Case, bezel, crystal, and crown notes

Artcurial’s images show the case-side reference 15018 and serial 6714095 on opposite sides. The open-watch photograph shows 15000 and 18K/750 inside the caseback. Antiquorum titles another example 15018/15000. The catalogues record both forms but give no explanation for the pairing.

Antiquorum calls the bezel engine-turned, and Artcurial describes it as striated. Monaco Legend calls the bezel on its blue-dial watch “Thunderbird”; that is the catalogue’s term for that example. The case-profile photographs show the bezel pattern, crystal profile and screw-down crown.

Antiquorum notes a Cyclops lens but does not specify crystal material. Time Connection II’s parts table lists 25-145 as an acrylic Cyclops replacement for 15018. That listing supports replacement fitment; it does not identify the crystal on any one watch. Time Connection II case reference list

Bracelet, clasp, and packaging notes

Antiquorum describes an 18K riveted bracelet on case 6714010. Artcurial lists a gold Oyster bracelet with end links 57 on case 6714095. Its catalogue transcribes the clasp as “ref. 7205” stamped F, but that wording is ambiguous and does not confirm the clasp reference. Monaco Legend shows case 9 109 006 on a leather strap. The records document these configurations on individual watches; they do not establish which options Rolex delivered new across the reference.

Artcurial catalogues a presentation box, booklet, tags, card holder, correspondence card and handwritten family letter with case 6714095. It attributes this watch as a gift from Sheikh Rachid bin Saeed Al Maktoum to Ali Yata. Artcurial, lot 264
